Corn sign. Pine board measuring 36" long and 11" tall. Early 20th century. This working sign from a midwestern farm is simple and to the point: CORN. The stylish oversized letters in charcoal are proudly painted on an oyster white background. Condition and paint are original and as found. The loss of a knot visible in the lower left hand corner apparently occured before the sign was made as the painted surface is consistent in this area with the rest of the sign.
