Uncle Sam

Uncle Sam

Uncle Sam silhouette. 1 5/8" thick hard pine board with attached arms. Midwestern, early 20th century. From his origin in Troy, NY to the rural roadside of the midwest, Uncle Sam remains the icon of American patriotism. With arms extended, this example was no doubt created for the purpose of holding a mailbox. He stands a full 5'8" tall and excepting some losses to the brim of his hat, remains in very good condition. His fancifully painted suit is original and untouched.
