Homemade Truck

Homemade Truck

Truck. Wisconsin origin. Early 20th century. 21" long, 9" wide, and 7 1/2" tall overall. Made by the same hand as the homemade tractor listed on our folk art page, this truck model has also been built of scrap materials. These materials include a driver's door from a Union Leader tobacco tin, as well as other tin and wood scraps. Duel rear wheels and front wheels are simulated by surrounding wood and tin with rubberized belting. The piece includes a rear bed, which when removed reveals towing apparatus. Holes around the bed indicate that stakes may have been included in its original design. The truck is offered in its original as found condition.
