Top Hats

Two oversized Top Hats. Found in Maine. c1900. Handmade. Mixed materials. Each of these hats stands 16" tall. Their oval brims measure 20" x 25". Most likely created as trade stimulators for a turn of the century milliner, scale gives these hats a commanding presence. Their stylish design reminds us of a time when a gentleman dressed like a gentleman from head to toe.
