Dart board. Apex Mfg. Co., Norristown, PA. c.1920-1930. As darts became a popluar US sport, The Apex Mfg. Co., a maker of wooden ladders, began producing its dart boards sometime before 1920. This board measures 17 1/2" square and is made of 3/8" heavy plyboard. Its applied target of cork and wire measures 12" in diameter. The game's visual appeal comes from the spoke affect radiating from the bullseye. It is offered in excellent orginal paint and conditon.
