Welcome to the Missouri Plain Folk online marketplace. Our specialty is paint decorated game boards of the 19th and early 20th centuries. Over the past 20 years it has been our privilege to work with game board collectors across the country. Published in 2001, The Art of the Game is the result of our greatest effort to date. This full color hardback book depicting the collection of Selby Shaver is a window into the world of this captivating and imaginative form of American folk art.
